By accessing or using Shelf Life, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Shelf Life is a food expiry tracking service that helps you manage your pantry, reduce food waste, and stay organized. We offer both free and paid subscription tiers with different feature sets.

3. User Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. We use magic link authentication — no passwords are stored.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

We offer the following subscription plans:

• Free — basic pantry tracking, up to 30 items
• Pro ($4.99/month) — unlimited items, smart alerts, household sharing
• Lifetime ($49.99 one-time) — all Pro features, forever

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically and may be cancelled at any time. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable after 14 days. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service
• Transmit any malicious code or software
• Scrape or harvest data from the service without our written consent

6. Intellectual Property

The Shelf Life service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Epic AI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your pantry data belongs to you — we do not claim ownership of the data you enter into the service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Shelf Life is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Expiry date notifications are provided as a convenience — always verify food safety independently.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Epic AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including any food safety incidents. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
